Reuse/Recycling Workshop:

Sewing and Carpentry

The participants spent several hours each in two workshops.

In the carpentry workshop, the smiling carpenter Toma showed us how to make wooden bag handles – measure, draw, cut with an electric saw, then smooth.

In the sewing workshop, the two modelers have prepared pieces of fabric from unnecessary jeans. They help us cut and sew a bag on a sewing machine.

At the end of the day, we assemble the bags we have made – bags with two faces and wooden handles.

A social enterprise

A warehouse for materials that companies have given instead of throwing away. Glass cups, bottles, foam filling, large tubes of pressed cardboard, Plexiglas sheets, blinds, lanterns, scraps of leather, frames and whatever else you can think of.

Interior designers, appliers and all kinds of creatives come to the malt and buy materials for their works and installations. This is how the materials get their second life.

Furniture store with workshop. Customers bring their own furniture to be repainted or reupholstered – chairs, tables, dressers, cabinets.

The workshop employs people who have been out of work for a long time. Here they also learn work skills so that they can find long-term employment.
